Make a Splash with Toothbrush Art

Elephant in the Rain

I'm always looking for ways in which I can use items I have around the house to create art. I love to create art for kids so I wanted to create delicate but splattery art using acrylic inks and watercolor.

So take:

1. an old toothbrush
2. some doilies

Then just hold them down and splatter with the paint soaked toothbrush to your heart's content! You will find you create some very pretty patterns as the splatters go through the holes in the doilies. They can also create their own stencils of animals etc and experiment with different shapes!

Try it you'll love it!

Daydreaming Deer

Let me know how you got on.

  5. Mummaknows...They will love it!! They can create stencils and spray through them with the toothbrush. It makes a lot of mess but I love that. Sometimes I do it outside.
