Elephant Pals, Acrylic Inks 24 x 18 inches |
Hi there all you animal lovers!
I'm joining in with a Festive Fundraiser for the amazing charity Elephants for Africa.
The African Elephant is in Crisis
In 2007, there were an estimated 472 000 elephants in Africa. The population dropped to an estimated 436 000 in 2013, and the rate of decline is increasing at an alarming rate, due to the illegal ivory trade and human wildlife conflict, which have led to an IUCN status of Vulnerable. In recent years, there has been a dramatic increase in ivory poaching, and this is reaching a crisis point.
How can you help?
For this Fundraiser, one of Elephants for Africa's private donors is going to match donations up to a total of £10,000.....and we're asking you to help make that happen! If you donate, then your gift will go even further towards Kate Evan's and her team's great work in Botswana for research and outreach programmes and working with communities.
You can donate as a Christmas gift for a friend or relative via https://mydonate.bt.com/events/efafestivefundraiser
And, as an added incentive, the donor or fundraiser that donates the most will receive an original piece of art work from totes amazeballs international author and artist Emma Kaufmann. Emma's created a glorious piece of original art based on her love of all elephants called Elephant Pals - and it could be yours! This piece can be sent to anyone anywhere in the world, so your donations count no matter where you live!
Please share the #elephantlove!

a very impressive painting-and how sad so many animals are killed illegally for profit. Besides being an amazing artist you are an equally amazing and giving person for the animal kingdom.
