Right now I am working on a cat commission. Here's the initial sketch. This is of a brown burmese cat looking wistfully out of the window at kids' playing on the beach. I am finding I love to work in mixed media, in this case pastel and watercolor. I am currently working on the finished product for the client.

Superb painting. Love the addition of the children playing at the beach. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Do you do commissions?
ReplyDeleteHolly Nelson....Yes I usually do commissions from a pet or person photo and create a painting from that. But in this case I create the painting from the concept of the client which was a cat looking at a Devon beach sitting on Whistle Down the Wind. Please get in touch if you ever want to commission a painting.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little cat! And what a view she has! I wouldn't mind sitting in that window :-)

You sound like a very busy young woman! Your mixed media painting is going great! I love the action you have achieved in the kids in the water. It is a great contrast to the cat quietly looking out the window.
ReplyDeleteThe cat looks terrific, great color in the fur! Love that vase of daisies too. :)
